Let us not focus on those coal fired power plants..... there are more contributors to this catastrophe we are facing now that need to be addressed..... 1. Use of synthethic fertilizer - it not only destroy the nitrogen cycle, it also caused eutrophication of rivers and lakes reducing the evolution of oxygen. 2. Use of synthetic herbicides and synthetic pesticides 3. Methane evolving from unkept garbage all over us 4. Methane evolving from our individual septic tanks 5. Methane evolution from piggeries and poultries 6. Methane from farm wastes - we need to put up a biomass power generating plants. 7. Leaks from refrigeration, air conditioning units - its time to revert to vapor absorption type refrigeration.... phase out the gas compression type refrigeration. 8. CO, CO2 emission from old old SMOKE BELCHING transportations.... 9. Reduce if not elimnate PETROLEUM based fuels - Build more bioethanol and biodiesel plants.... 10. Burning of garbage....... ginagmay ra ni pero daghan kaayo ni... We have wind power, solar panels, ocean wave to mention a few as source of energy. Let us SPECIFICALLY identify causes of these catastrophes and look for solutions.... We can never achieve anything UNLESS we are all UNITED !!!
