A fanciful scenario: I show up to estimate your house. I tell you that I can paint your house and garage for $3,500. You hire me. Then I come, and paint only the garage, and ask for my thirty-five hundred. You remind me of what I promised. I tell you that the game has changed since I said that, and tell you that the whole job will now cost thousands more. Sure I CAN paint them both for $3,500, but that doesnt mean I WILL. Do you fire me and report me, and give a rotten Yelp review? Or do you defend me against my critics? Obama threw us the old Bait-And-Switch, and his minions are still bowing in deference. Had I known that they were so easy to please, Id have done half the work all these years, and demanded twice the pay. Hmm ... live and learn.
