A father of two, whose family was helped by foodbank last year, wrote this about his experience. So encouraging to read how positively foodbanks can affect the lives of families in crisis - The Trussell Trust provides assistance and advice to those most in need. In this day and age it is shocking and surprising that there is such a need for this service. My personal experience (and that of my family) has been nothing but positive. Following sanctions placed (incorrectly) upon my family, without exaggeration, Im not sure how we would have survived. Its easy to underplay the need for such a service, but faced with 2 children going hungry it puts the need into some perspective. I feel eternally grateful to the organisation and particularly to the individual staff who supported and cared without any sense of being judgemental. If being completely honest I probably fall into the category of those naturally being cynical about charity organisations, but my attitude has been completely changed. I cannot express my gratitude strongly enough. Thank you
