A fb friend posted this and I wanted to share. Prof. Slavin worked closely with the Nobel prize winning Dr. E Donnal Thomas whom was the first doctor in the world to successfully perform allogeneic HSCT in 1967. Having pioneered so many other clinically viable therapeutic approaches, Im not sure why Prof. Slavin has not yet followed his mentor and also been awarded the Nobel prize in medicine.
