A fellow pet sitting friend shared this earlier and I debated on sharing it here. Mainly because this is not the norm even for teenagers. However, it is a possibility especially if you dont hire a professional. EVEN if you know the kids very well as these people did. A professional pet sitter is licensed, bonded, insured, has a website and is known in the community. There are many responsible teenagers and I dont discount them, and a pet sitting gig is great to help them become even more responsible...but your house is the biggest investment youll ever make....other than choosing a spouse =) and your pets are your children, your loved ones.
