A few days ago I posted this purse on a fb page of consignment/resale owners asking for feedback as to their thoughts whether they this bag was authentic or not. Many thought it was, others asked to see the inside, somebody else suggested trying to pry off the outside label and such. Today I spent a good part of my day talking to folks at the corporate office and customer care. Their definitive answer was that ALL Kate Spade bags should ONLY be purchased by authorized retailers, surprise! I offered to send pictures inside and out...they said absolutely not. The suggestion was to put a disclaimer...so...I am NOT an authorized retailer, hence this Kate Spade bag has not been authenticated by the company. The corporate office also suggests one should NEVER purchase a Kate Spade bag from any store other than an authorized retailer. I will be giving this bag away tonight and it has NOT been authenticated.
