A few days ago my friend Matt Knighton Sr. threw me under the bus....er...challenged me to share 3 things Im thankful for each day for 7 days. As Im a bit behind, Im going to try to catch up; so here goes: Im thankful and blessed that I was born, raised and live in a town like Snohomish; simply a good place to live and raise a family. Im thankful and blessed to have gone to Snohomish schools, a very special place to be educated. Im thankful and blessed that I live in Washington in the Pacific Northwest, a beautiful corner of the USA. Im thankful and blessed that I live in the USA, still the greatest country in the World and I pray that God will always bless our USA. Im thankful and blessed for my career with State Farm where I am privileged to work with people helping them protect the things and people they value most. Im thankful and blessed by my office staff who are far more than employees; they are family and friends and I simply could not, would not, be in business without them. I am thankful for and was blessed by my Dad who was the kindest and most gentle man I have ever known. Im thankful for and blessed by the legacy he left for me. Im thankful and blessed by my family. First, our wonderful son-in-law Will and our beautiful daughter-in-law Lone. Thank you both for being a part of our family and for completing our family. And thank you for our beautiful grandkids! Im thankful and blessed to be called Papa by our 5 amazing grandkids: Noah whose attitude, effort and desire to please and succeed will take him to wherever he wants to go in life; Danica simply a beautiful girl with an amazing personality and always a delight to be with; Jonah who has just an amazing combination of emotion, sweetness, ability and a desire to please; Emma who is charming and beautiful with a bundle of potential in just about anything she wants to do; and Maddie, our cute little bundle of energy with an inquisitive mind that will master any challenge she faces. It is our prayer for all 5 of our grandkids is that they will seek, find, know, love and serve God. Im thankful and blessed that our special needs son, Marc, has been perfectly and completely healed and whose home is now in Heaven with Jesus waiting for us. Im thankful and blessed by Lori, our beautiful daughter who will always be Daddys little girl. Lori is a wonderful daughter, wife, Mom and friend whose faith, love of God and servants attitude is an example for all. Im thankful and blessed by Eric, Gods gift to our family. Our lovable son fills our lives with pride, joy, happiness and laughter. Im thankful and blessed to be married to my best friend, the love of my life and even after 47 years of marriage Marilyn still amazes me and is forever my greatest earthly joy and blessing. Im thankful and blessed to have family and friends who tolerate me for being me. Im thankful and blessed to have a God who loves and forgives me for being me. Im thankful and blessed to have a Lord and Savior in Jesus who chose to die to take on the punishment for the forgiveness of my sins so that I dont have to. I dont know if this is 21 things Im thankful for. I do know that I am a very thankful and blessed man.
