A few months ago someone asked me what my boundaries were. I had no idea what that meant and still couldnt provide an answer even after I learned boundaries are, more or less, anything you refuse to put up with or allow in your life in order to keep the peace or protect yourself I guess you could say. Me, being the sagacious woman I am, thought about my answer to this question for months (literally). After seeing hundreds of new faces, meeting the right (and the wrong) people, and expanding both my work and social circle in the most positive way, I think Ive finally found my boundary; although, I only have one. My boundary is boundaries — There is nothing wrong with making mistakes or taking the beaten path. Some of the most beautiful sights are at the end of a wrong turn. We learn by doing; we learn by making mistakes and having to pick up the broken pieces on our own. Its when no one has your back and no one is by your side you realize how strong you really are. Taking a look at the most successful and most beautiful people in my life, I notice they all have one thing in common – whether its fighting cancer, a bad breakup, a new job, the loss of a career, the death of a loved one or how to tie a shoe – they are all BOUNDLESS individuals. In math, we learned something that is boundless has no barriers or is infinite. Living under the assumption that we only have so many tries or only so much time puts a definite boundary on our opportunities and successes. In essence, the right turn isnt always the right turn. As for me, Im taking the road less traveled – the only place I can go from there is up.
