A few people have asked us what Kickstarter is. Here are some facts: 1. Its a new way to fund creative projects. Since 2009, Kickstarter has raised more than $1 billion for creative projects - including films, art, games, music and more! 2. Funding is all or nothing, so if we dont hit our $20,000 goal, your card isnt charged. 3. Backers receive rewards for projects if the goal is reached. For example, if you donate $15 to our project, youll get a free ePub version of our book. If you donate $25, youll get a printed, illustrated copy of our book. Its sort of like pre-buying your book. Donating is more than getting a book though - it helps creative project dreams come true! 4. Creators are legally responsible to complete their projects once it is 100% funded. 5. My partner, Jayne Savoie Post, is crazy. Shes the one who created the God-sized goal. In her defense though, we tried every other amount lower than $20,000 and when we prayed, they didnt seem to fit.
