A few people have expressed interest in my liking of eastern philosophies, so I figured it may satisfy some to share a playlist of short videos of some of Alan Watts greatest lectures. The lectures are just Alan Watts explaining many of the key philosophies in Eastern culture; mainly being derived from Zen Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism but given from an agnostic viewpoint. The philosophies explained tackle many of the existential problems humans bring upon themselves, by introducing ideas unfamiliar to western culture, such as disregarding the past and future and living fully in the present, the illusion of control, willingness to die, seeing that there really is no necessity to anything, life and existence as a spontaneous process. The list goes on, but that will be enough for those interested to want to watch them more. Of course dont feel any obligation to watch them, theyre simply for those interested in eastern culture and idealism, or those with an imaginative mindset.
