A few tips upon preparation to deal with a workout in the cold -Eat something warm/spicy. Itll raise your core body temperature. Add some warm tea/hot cocoa and youre body should be warming up -Dress warmly 20-30mins before stepping out. And stand up/walk around a bit. By having layers on & not sitting/laying down, you raise body temp even more. Within the time period if you was to perspire a bit, feeling ya pores opening up, its an indication ya body is getting warmed up ready to go. -When outside perform a dynamic warm-up for 10-15 mins. Jog in place, do animal-like movements, anything of the sort. Just no static stretching -For more efficient workout that keeps your body warm, do big exercises like pull-ups, pushups, squats or even burpees plus limit your rest periods (30-90 secs ideally & stand up throughout the entire workout). Your heart rate should go up and body should feel like youre next to a furnace.
