A few weeks back I had my first opportunity to see a snowy owl! How exciting and joyful it was to just sit and watch her sleeping on her post. It may have been a juvenile male or a female judging by its dramatic markings but Ill call it a her. I watched her for an hour and a half and was lucky enough to be there when a Coopers Hawk came in to try to scare the owl off her post. So funny to watch the hawk squawk and carry on, flying from post to post dive bombing the owl while she barely bothered to open her eyes to have a look....
