A few years a ago a co-worker and I decided to color some synthetic platinum blonde hair extensions. We took the hair and soaked it in Clairols Jazzing Semi-Permanent Cherry Cola. We let it sit overnight and when we rinsed it off all the color washed of and we had the same platinum blonde hair extensions. So what did we do wrong? Synthetic hair wont dye with human hair dye because it doesnt have cuticles which is what absorbs the dye. You can dye synthetic hair with fabric dye though.
