A follower asks: I had a cesarean in October of 2013. It was my first child. I went into labor naturally, and labored at home for about 3 hrs before going to the hospital. When I was admitted I was already dilated to a 7. I felt like I was doing great. The nurse seemed very pushy and scared me into having an epidural when I was at an 8. I progressed quickly on my own and began pushing after reaching 10. I pushed for 4 hours before my Dr recommended doing a cesarean. My baby never entered the birth canal, I was told his head was stuck on the pubic bone and he was too big to decsend past the bone opening. After the cesarean, I had a rough time coming to terms with not getting the vaginal birth I had so wanted. We are now thinking ahead to our next child, and I wonder if anyone has had a similar experience of a quick labor, full dilation and plenty of pushing time but ended up with a cesarean go on to have a successful VBAC? I know most people with a diagnosis of CPD can have successful VBACs, but I havent heard of many who were fully dilated and had 4 hrs + of pushing time. #Support
