A friend has said the following: " I believe this is what we can expect: An all out assault on medical marijuana resulting partially from federal pressure to seize complete ad total control of the cannabis market so that, when reform goes nation wide, the government can just step in and reap the benefits while dominating every aspect of production, processing, and retailing. To date there has been ZERO compassion or concern for any American whether they be a dying patient, a provider, a user, or even a supporter. The track record of the United States government has been one of scorched earth persecution, to a degree that has historically been reserved for the most dangerous criminals that exist. Now, after so many have sacrificed and faced unbelievable harshness and prosecution, after doors busted down and even people being shot dead in the doorways of their homes, after millions of Americans have been criminalized and families destroyed, the government will want to completely co-opt the cannabis industry. The fact that very sick and dying people could benefit from certain strains, from certain collections of cannabinoid compounds means absolutely nothing to the Feds. They care not about human suffering, this is about money, power, and market control. I say we must fight the power and continue to advance our truths in the face of absolute bullshit, an endless parade of lies, propaganda that shape-shifts in real time to morph to the politics of the day. Medical marijuana is not only real it is MORE IMPORTANT THAN TAX REVENUE." Legalization started because of the medicinal benefits for seriously ill patients, and patients should not be targeted for repercussion. This is actually worse than the denigration of AIDS patients because its been 70 years in the offing.
