A good friend of mine sent this message: Out of millions of young and talented Iranians whose dreams of freedom and prosperity and perpetually crushed, the best Davos could apparently find was a thug (Mohammad Ali Shabani) who threatens his critics with Iranian jails and death; moreover, someone who grew up in Sweden, could barely speak Persian until recently (bought his military service) and formerly worked for Press TV as a propagandist while Iranian protestors were crushed in 2009 and the following years. It seems Javad Zarif or Hossein Mousavian (the German ambassador at the time of the Mykonos assassinations and who Shabani has written numerous article with) must have had a role in putting Mohammad Ali Shabanis name forward, since he is an employee at the Centre for Strategic Research (the research arm of the Expediency Council) and they were both effectively his bosses.
