Ive got to add since I graduated in 1980 the value of the minimum wage is less then it is now, but almost everything that the government has gotten its hand into since then it it has outstripped and outpaced wages whether minimum or average % wise then inflation for those things the government has not gotten their hands on. Raising the mimimum wage will not really do anything in the long run, it might help a few people here and the short term but in the long run it will not help them out. What would really help out alot of people would to be to deregulate things, and have straight taxes for everyone and companies, its just an economic fact that has been proven over and over through history.
