A great FB friend asked me yesterday, why didnt you ever tell us how hard it was to lose your dad? (Or, mom)…..okay, here it is…Its extremely difficult to lose a parent….In many ways we deny the reality of mom or dad passing on…..My advice: Dont take tomorrow for granted, dont wait to say I love you, pick up the phone, email, visit, invite, spend those days wisely with those you love. I have shared this in many books and presentations……Make a video of your life, talking straight from the heart about your life experiences, good times and bad, the time you came to faith, your journey with faith, the values you hold closest to your heart…..your blessings to those you love….Want to give a gift that keeps on giving….There it is…Give it to your kids, your grandchildren, to others you love, its a gift your loved ones will cherish as long as they live…..and speaking of living, you will live on through this video and tears will flow Im sure, but they will hopefully be tears of joy and celebration. Take time today to express your love to those who are closest to you!
