A great day here in Kansas City with the induction of Count Basie into the Jazz Walk of Fame at The 18th and Vine St. Museum. It was an extreme honor to accept it on his behalf. Also had a blast playing with the fantastic Bobby Watson and his orchestra, and also seeing my former FSU Trumpet student Pete Carroll and his fiancé. Great time here and look forward to getting back to this wonderful city where The Count Basie Orchestra began in 1935
