A great deal of misinformation or lies have been taught concerning Divine Healingand it has caused many Believers to back away from what the Bible clearly says. Many are sick because they have failed to receive this New Covenant benefit. Divine healing is not a New concept dreamed up by grace teachers. As far back as Exodus 15:26, before even the Ten Commandants, God told the Hebrew people; And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I AM THE LORD THAT HEALETH THEE. (KJV) God is a Covenant keeping God, if we objectively study the Scriptures we repeatedly see God committing Himself to His people. Anyone that believes recognizes that God cannot lie; so what part of for I am the LORD that healeth thee do we not understand!?! It literally says translated that I Yahwah One-healing-of - you. (Hebrew Interlinear Bible, Westminster Leningrad Codex with vowels) The prophet Isaiah when fore telling of Jesus said, But he was wounded on account of our sins, and was bruised because of our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and by his bruises we were healed. (Isaiah 53:5 Bible in Basic English) The New Covenant is based on grace and the fact that Jesus took on Himself everything we needed and carried it to the cross. He fulfilled the prophesy of Isaiah as Peter tells us in 1 Peter 2:24, Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. (KJV) It takes help to NOT understand this! As Believers We WERE healed at the cross, and it is received δέχομαι (dechomai) to take with the hand (Thayer) when we believe at salvation. So a New Covenant Believer does not NEED to be healed, we WERE healed and the devil is trying to deceive us into thinking we are sick! We must stop begging God for something He provided at salvation; only believe His Word and declare the truth when attack and we will walk in divine health. On Valentines Day in 2013 I was attack physical by disease (dis-ease!) I passed out and thought I had a heart attack or stroke. When I regained consciousness I called the Doctors office and they said to come right in. (I live 16 miles from town.) Upon arriving I was given a series of test by the Doctor that was available. I was given some prescriptions (both natural and chemical) and sent home. Three days later my primary care physician called insisting I come immediately to his office, the lab test results were back. The most serious result was blood glucose levels. My test results showed an Impaired Fasting Glucose of 460 (It should be between 80 and 100), and a blood pressure reading of 175/105. (actually that was the third reading, the nurse did not record the first two, she did not believe I could be alive with the readings she saw.) My A1c (average glucose for three months) was 12.9 and it should be between 4.8 and 5.6. The doctor said, You have diabetes! I said, NO! He said, All the lab work shows you do! I said, NO, The facts may say I do, but that is not the truth! He gave me more prescriptions and sent me home with orders to contact a specialist. I did....I talked to The Specialist, my LORD, about what He said! I decided to believe what the LORD said over what the doctor said! The next lab test was on May 29 and the results were a lot different. The glucose reading was down to 106, considered pre-diabetic, and the A1c was down to 6.1, less than half of the previous level. The next test in August showed a glucose reading of 96 and an A1c of 5.6, or NORMAL! And the last test was on Jan. 2, 2014, with a glucose reading of 88 and an A1c of 5.3, again NORMAL. No more twice daily finger sticks: HEALED! If I had believed the doctor and the lab test I would be on insulin and other medications the rest of my life. But I decided to believe what the Word said! I have the lab reports so this is not wishful thinking, it is TRUTH! I have never said I have this disease! and I never will. I said what God said, I Am healed! Have I made a lifestyle adjustments, you better believe it. But healing is not an adjustment, it is the life of Jesus IN a Believer! Jesus is not sick and as he is, so am I in this world! (1 John 4:17 KJV) The devil sneaks around like a lion, hunting for someone to devour. I refuse to be a victim of his plans. His roar did not frighten me because I know he is a defeated foe and I do not have to fight him, Jesus took care of that 2000 years ago. 1 John 5:18 promises the Believer the Son of God keeps him so that he is not touched by the Evil One.
