A group of policemen in Nevada took over a house and used it by force as an observation point to observe a neighbor whom they thought was breaking the law. Now, the home owner is claiming that the police violated his constitutional rights under the 3rd amendment which forbids the quartering of troops in a persons home against their will. Since the police now have taken on the appearance of being quasi military, I think this person is correct in their claim and a good million dollars per day sanction should even things out between the parties. I have never heard of the 3rd Amendment to the Constitution ever being violated in modern times but the way things are going I guess someone was sure to ignore this provision as well as all the others. This is going to be interesting.
