A lady was knocked down today at the zebra crossing. I was 3 cars behind the incident, it was raining and going dark. The lady was sat on the ground being assisted by passers by. I got one of those foil emergency waterproof ponchos out of my boot and went to see if it was needed. As I arrived a nurse turned up to offer assistance and a pcso had arrived on the scene so I handed over the poncho and went back to my car as I had a baby with me. The lady was sat up but seemed in shock to me. I left to catch my doctors appointment but I hope the lady makes a full and fast recovery. I was blown away by how helpful everyone is when someone is hurt. The nurse jumped into action, we are lucky enough to have pcsos walking the streets all day every day and none of the car drivers got impatient or beeped. Perhaps people will like this status to wish the lady a speedy recovery and to say well done to those who stopped to help. -sg
