A later than usual post. Sorry to anyone who stays up waiting for it. Moms cousin verified yesterdays post for me, thanks Ann Hiles. And, an old friend of the family, more like a member of the family, Allison Walls, brought up another good one. Dad, the thoughtful husband he was, bought a brand new washer and dryer for Mom on Mothers Day one year. It actually went over very well, until the washer broke down unreasonably soon. Mom tried to get service from GE, with no actable results. She talked her way up the chain of command, until she reached the top. Well, she got the CEOs name and proceeded to call every listing for that name she could find. I can only imagine the poor mans shock at that late night phone call to his home. Although I dont know exactly what she said, the very next morning, a truck pulled up and two very nervous installers brought her a brand new washer. They stayed through the first load and I think they even did a tune up on the dryer while they were there. Mom was happy anyway, which means we were all happy. Oddly enough, when she tried to call the top man back to thank him, she discovered his number was changed and the new phone was unlisted. Hmm, I wonder why. Have A Daybreak Day!
