A lip-synced performance, but its been nicely edited and it was created was when Squeeze was young and tender. Drummer Gilson Lavis is at his signature, stick-twirling-and-hitting-the-cymbal-from-underneath best. He used to do that live and I dont remember him ever missing a beat or dropping a stick. There is pop-up-video-style background information loosely tying the group to The Velvet Underground, Bryan Ferry, and a certain novel. I always loved the humorous, close-rhyme lyrics and the story they tell. The album from which the song is taken is well worth owning if you like this song.
