A little bit about me and my vision for Comanche Tx. Please allow me to introduce myself...My name is Danny Bingham. I am a 1977 graduate of Comanche High School. I was born in Comanche Tx on May 30 1959. My parents are Weldon and Lona Bingham I have 3 older brothers and a sister. I have been married to Linda Bingham for 15 years. We have 4 children and 3 grandchildren. Linda and I are very active in our community and take a lot of pride in this small town in Texas that we call home. Together she and I have built several successful businesses....First Impressions Window Cleaning, The Upcycling Sophisticate where we host trunk shows and antique shows in locations all across Texas. Also we own His Voice Recording Studio here in Comanche where I get the opportunity to follow my passion which is recording and teaching music as well.....Beginning May 24 2014 we are opening Comanchess very first country opry The Austin Street Opry located at 111 S. Austin Street where we will host monthly music venues that will celebrate Faith, Family and Freedom.... Every 4th Saturday in April Linda and I host the Comanche Gospel Music Jamboree at the Comanche City Park here in Comanche Tx...A free event that brings hundreds of people and their families to the area to enjoy music in the park which is going in to its 8th year. I have been around music all of my life and as a self taught musician I play guitar, piano, drums, bass guitar, mandolin and banjo. Linda and I both are registered songwriters with B.M.I.Through the years I have had the opportunity to open shows for a few of my favorite artists..Moe Bandy,Steve Wariner, Rodney Crowell, Ray Price, Marty Raybon, Johnny Duncan and Kenny Chesney In the fall of 2006 I was nominated for the Male Horizon Award through the Country Gospel Music Guild and 2 songs that my wife Linda and I had written charted with the CGMG in Nashville...Get Right Or Get Left #42 and Do You Know This Man #36. I also had the opportunity to showcase my songs in Nashville that same year...Also I have a song titled Headed Down To Texas which was written last year by myself and a friend that was picked by National Geographic Television to be used in their show Chasing UFOs... I would like to add that with my musical background and business experience along with the abundance of talent in this area, my vision is to make Comanche a destination for people to come and be a part of what our community has to offer.Bringing people to our community will not only help our merchants and food establishments but will also help boost our economy I have lots of fresh ideas and I am open for others to share their ideas. I believe as a community working together it will help the growth of our town while keeping the small town feel. Times are changing and we must learn to adapt with those changes if we are going to progress.Together we can restore the pride of our community and make it a better place for our children and grandchildren by leaving it a little better for them than it was when it was handed to us by our parents and grandparents. This will require everyone working toward the same goal and not working against each other..It will take someone who can listen to the people and know that their voice matters. It also requires motivation and unity...There is an old saying that says that if a person can work with their spouse they can work with anybody and with that being said I stand ready to work hard for you the citizens of Comanche Tx..I would appreciate your vote for my place on the Comanche City Council on Saturday May 10 2014..Thankyou.. Danny Bingham
