A little bit more on Ben Bradlee if you will allow it... For a kid in Paris, Texas, who was a little overly obsessed with the news, Ben Bradlee was a giant. I was that kid who rushed home from school to watch the Watergate Hearings. So, when I saw the news last night that Ben Bradlee had died, I became nostalgic and a little sad. I miss those old days of great journalism. Great newspapers. I know, I know, things change. We have non stop TV news now. Plenty of opinion. More than enough sources. Just thinking about why I got into the business. I hope we can do Ben Bradlee proud.
