A little good news as this mornings models downgrade the deep area of low pressure. It will still bring some strong winds based on the latest model output. The difference on this model run is that much colder air digs south bringing a risk of snow showers, even to lower levels. Instead of the Atlantic roaring back in we see HP then build with some very cold upper air which would lead to very crisp weather with temperatures dropping well below freezing for many overnight. This is just another scenario that the weather models are suggesting, there will no doubt be more ups and downs as we nearer the timeframe but for now, at least, on this model output it is not as severe. Dont be surprised to see it upgrade though, the next model update will be within the hour. Attached image: Very cold looking chart with northerly winds and a risk of snow showers. Lewis
