A little known fact about our family...we lived in Teheran, Iran from Nov 77 thru Jan 79. Our family loves Persian food and have adopted a few tips. I have always wanted to try cooking different items....today was the day! Tonight, I grilled koobideah ( ground sirloin with lots of yummy seasonings), basmati rice, yogurt dip (Iranians answer to tazatziki sauce ), grilled tomatoes along with homemade grilled pita bread. I had never made homemade pita bread, but it was so easy & yummy and reminded me of the bread of Iran. Needless to say, it was yummy and I am stuffed!
