A little late, but nonetheless important: Yesterday, after finishing up my last swim lesson session at the MARC, I decided to thank the wonderful woman who put on the program one last time before I left. Little did I know that I would be presented with not only gifts, but endless gratitude from parents and children in the middle of a locker room. A mother of six children told me I was wonderful for doing what I do because even if its only ten dollars, thats $60 a week that a lot of us cannot afford. It may have only been six weeks for a few hours a day, but each and every one of those children will forever hold a special place in my heart. Watching them grow and learn has been the greatest gift that Meadville has given me, and getting to experience it with my sisters made it all the more worthwhile. I didnt make a penny, but I didnt need it. I didnt want it. We should all do good things...regardless of the payout. End of story.
