A little more about the Enterovirus D68 since the questions keep on coming. First of all, as you can see it is NOT a mystery virus, as described in the media!! We know exactly what kind of virus it is, so please do not get too alarmed by the what you see in the media. I suspect that many more children than reported have been infected, and probably we are going to see more since these kind of viral infections tend to be very contagious. Use precaution to decrease the spread of infection and if your child has asthma, make sure he is taking the proper medications.
