A long while back I mentioned my ten favorite Progressive Rock albums. My favorite as I mentioned was Genesiss 1974 Album The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway. The album is the story of a Puerto Rican Juvenile Delinquent named Rael. As our hero exists the subway at 42nd Street in Time Square he is swept away much like Alice into an underground world that itself is a mirror of NYC much like Alice was swept into Wonderland...That is if Wonderland were written by Franz Kafka and not Lewis Carroll. When performing this album live in 1974, Genesis used a special slide show to add to Peter Gabriels surreal performance on stage. Now using copious notes and scans of the slides through the magic of YouTube you too can enjoy what can only be described as a virtual concert film of a truly mind bending show. The playlist uses the album instead of live tracks as many of the costumes worn by Peter interfered with his singing - especially the notorious Slipperman outfit. Please watch and enjoy. youtube/playlist?list=PLE08D5ED988A28703
