A lot happened on this day 9 April. In 2000 Alain Menu won the first round of the BTCC at Brands Hatch. It was the last season of the Super Touring cars and he would go on to win the title for Ford and our 4th BTCC title. Bernard Beguin won the Criterium Alpin Behra rally in 1988, while Chatriot was second also in the BMW M3 - it was Beguins debut win with us. Then in 1989, James Weaver won the second round of the BTCC in the BMW M3 - he also went on to win the title that year, it would be our second BTCC title.
