A major blow to our family yesterday as my beloved cousin, Amber went home to receive hospice care. For those of you who know my clan, we are extremely close, and this news is debilitating to even write. At thirty two, Amber was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, but sadly chemotherapy was unsuccessful. Our blessings lie in home comforts which she, and her direct family (brothers and parents) are able to indulge. Additionally, her family and friends were able walk the pathway alongside her. These are luxuries not all are given, and for this, we are blessed. Many of you have met Amber in the past, and it would mean the world if you shared a story. My memories are literally countless, yet strangely enough, the most vivid memory I have of Amber is a small one. Her and I were stood in line at the airport before our departure to Barcelona. Her cell phone rang, the ring tone, “Flashing Lights”. I love you, my dearest cousin.
