A man has been arrested after allegedly showing a man a gun at a licensed premises in Ultimo. About 3pm today (Wednesday 7 May 2014), a 34-year-old man was drinking at a pub on Harris Street. It’s alleged he left the premises briefly, before returning and requesting cash from a patron in exchange for meat he had in his sports bag. When the male patron refused, the man walked out of the pub, before returning and allegedly lifting his shirt to reveal a revolver that was tucked into his pants. The man again left, and police from Sydney City Local Area Command were notified, arriving a short time later. While police were on scene, the armed man returned and was arrested. He was taken to Day Street Police Station, where he is assisting police with their inquiries.
