A man will face court in July after a 35-year-old man died while water skiing in the State’s south earlier this year. About 4.40pm on 22 February 2013 emergency services were called to a water skiing area on Colombo Creek near Morundah, which is approx 70km south of Narrandera. The 35-year-old was seriously injured while attempting what is known as a “flying beach take-off”. Despite the efforts of emergency services, the 35-year-old man died at the scene. Investigations by detectives from Griffith Local Area Command culminated today (Friday 31 May) when court attendance notices were served on a 50-year-old Lockhart man. He is expected to appear in Narrandera Local Court on 18 July to answer allegations of dangerous navigation occasioning death and reckless, dangerous or negligent navigation.
