A memorial service for Wes Monteith will be held on Wednesday, July 16, at the Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Drive in Baytown. Wes, an accomplished artist and marathon runner, died on July 2 after a courageous fight with liver cancer. Wes was an enthusiastic supporter of Class of 1970 activities, a strong advocate for his beliefs and a reliable friend to all who knew him, whether they agreed with him or not. Wes had much he wanted to say and much he wanted to do, especially in the three decades that followed his recovery from substance abuse. He packed an abundance of life into the years given to him.
