A message came via email from my friend Marceau Verdiere about his exhibition at Piante Gallery in November. Said Marceau, The show features all new works made as part of an exploration of Doubt within the context of the Catholic Faith. I have been working intensely on this project for the past 3 years after being selected by the Diocese in Alsace to be one of the 12 contemporary artists to participate in the 18th edition of the Chemin dArt Sacre, an effort to link contemporary art with sacred spaces and liturgical texts in a modern society. The culmination is an exhibit in the 12th Century St Pierre et Paul Church in Wissembourg, France next summer. My exhibit at Piante Gallery is an opportunity to share with Humboldt County the fruits of the effort. The exhibit will run during the whole month of November. Piante is a beautiful space for Art in Humboldt County. I am very grateful to Sue Natzler for allowing my work to call the gallery home for a month. Marceau
