A message from WASHINGTON-LEE HIGH SCHOOL Dear Washington-Lee Community, Thanks to everyone for your thoughtful words and sentiments on our loss of Coach Mon. The family is working on a memorial service and I hope to share this information soon. I am proud to announce that a Washington-Lee Athletic Scholarship has been formed in honor of Coach Jim Mon. I cannot think of a better way to honor his selfless and unwavering commitment to our school, athletes, and community. Contributions can be delivered or sent to the W-L Student Activities office care of the Athletic Boosters. (please make checks out to Washington-Lee Athletic Boosters) On Monday, Washington-Lee students will have the opportunity during both lunches to come together to send a personal message to Coach Mon’s family. This will take place in the Little Theater. In celebration of Coach Mon, we will be hosting a reception on Wednesday, January 7th beginning at 5:00pm in the Little Theater. All are welcome. Following, we will have a moment of silence in his honor at the beginning of the JV wrestling match that we are hosting that evening at 6:00pm.
