A month ago I was texting my sis, Ashley Morris Lehnert, to tell her happy birthday when I realized just how proud of her I am. She has made some life changing decisions this year, and I am so proud of her for this and her success. She is the toughest person I know, but most importantly, she is the kindest, most compassionate person I know. She does so much for her family, school, and community to make it a better place. It hit me like a ton of bricks how much she is like our Mom in that way. I decided on that day that I was going to start walking/running and start taking care of myself because if Ash has time to do it (and she IS the BUSIEST person I know) then I have time to do it, too. This morning I walked/ran a 5K race in Shattuck which completed my 75th mile. My inspiration is my little sis because there is no way I would have drug my lazy butt out of bed and ran in freezing temps and wind if I wasn’t trying to be as tough as she is! So, here’s to you Ash! 75 miles down and 125 to go. Thanks for being who you are, and I am so glad that has not changed a bit! You mean so much to me and so many others. Love ya the MOST!
