A more recent controversial local, but not Cincinnati case was the Widmer case which happened in Warren County. Tried 3x - convicted a couple years ago. Followed by Dateline - a witness in Trial 3 came out of the woodwork after watching Datelines coverage of Trial 2. My wife had followed all the cases very closely - she knew the case inside and out. She had been laid off work so, being the considerate hubby/lawyer that I am, I took her to the closing arguments on Valentines Day 2011! Fascinating stuff- we sat next to Mike Allen, who was commentating on the case for various media outlets. Got to see the bathtub and other evidence up close and personal.
