A near tragic accident in my cousins neighborhood in Oklahoma has me so worked up about the safety of our pool! A sweet 2 year old little girl was found in the backyard pool after her nanny heard the pool alarm sounding. They were able to get to her in time, but she is in serious condition as of now. I have regretted buying a house with a pool almost immediately after moving in and seeing all of the anxiety it has caused me! Before this most recent accident in Oklahoma, I already had such horrible anxiety about the pool that I wake up several times in the middle of the night probably about 2-3 nights a week in a panic and have to get up and check on my kids because I cannot get the thoughts of them drowning out of my head! Its so bad that my husband and I have discussed selling the house and finding one without a pool, but that is sooo drastic! Please, if you will, first of all say a prayer for the sweet baby girl in Oklahoma and her family and then please say a prayer for me and my constant anxiety and for God to watch out for my sweet babies! In the meantime, I am going to come up with as many ways as possible to protect my kiddos from the pool and any accidents. Any suggestions would be awesome!! Thanks in advance for the prayers, they are so much needed! 😢
