A neighbor and good friend wanted to fish the Texas City Dike today. He and his family are from North Carolina and have caught flounder and big bull reds before but have never been to the Dike. Thats where I come in. Nothing better than breaking in someone to my old stomping grounds. We stopped by my favorite bait store (yes, you guessed it, Boyds One Stop), and picked up some finger mullet and tackle. We headed for the wooden pier and staked out a claim. Long story short, the Good Lord blessed me with Charles catching a very nice flounder for his maiden voyage on the Dike. We ended up with four and as I type, Charles and his wife are frying up those flounder fillets. Can life get any better? Not for me. Charles is already talking about getting some tackle together for the next trip.888888888888888888 Go get you some folks. The flounder run is on! Join the tournament. You never know unless you go.
