A new client asked me this past week, If I get sick, whats your cancellation policy? I told her the basics and then said, You know what, I have to thank you. Its probably time for me to remind my regulars. So here it is (for those of you who read it : ) I require 24 hour cancellation of appointments. Less than that, and I will bill you (reluctantly.) Usually there are clients who could take your appointment, if you give me enough notice. Without enough notice, I cant fill the slot, and I lose money. Please plan accordingly. EXCEPTIONS: 1) sudden illness - this means that yes, if youre not feeling well and its even 45, 30 min. before your session, I want you to CALL ME and CANCEL. I will not charge you! Youre doing both of us a favor! You need rest, not a massage. If you have been sick with a cold for over 48 hours, call me and lets talk about how youre feeling. If you feel like youre mostly over it, you can come in and I can actually not only help you feel better, but increase the chances of you healing up sooner. NEVER have massage if youve got: a fever, a systemic infection of any kind, vomiting or diarrhea, or just feel inordinately tired and fatigued. Like I said: you need rest, not a massage. 2) storms -- blizzards happen. So does ice. If conditions are inclement and you are hesitant about driving, contact me and well figure it out. Theres no point in getting a massage and then white-knuckling it the whole way home. Its a waste of your investment and ruins the work I did. 3) emergencies -- bad stuff happens too. All it takes is a quick text, call or email -- FB if thats all you have time for -- and let me know youve got something incredibly urgent that unfortunately means you cant come to your massage. (I will always trust that this is a for real emergency, and not one youre making up so you wont get billed.)
