A new poll carried out by the Red Cross has found that an alarming number of people could be attempting to bear the pain of serious issues by themselves because they feel they have nobody to turn to. Almost three-quarters of respondents said they had already experienced some kind of crisis in their lives, while 37 per cent expected to suffer another within the next five years, BBC News reports. However, up to a third said they feel as though they have no-one to reach out to when the worst happens - and more than 30 per cent admitted they would be unlikely to get in touch with a charity instead because they were worried about diverting resources from causes they viewed as more worthy than their own.
