A new tech start-up firm is looking to find staff for its finance department in the role of accounting assistants and an accountant. The ideal candidates should be: • Highly motivated • Strong inter-personal skills • Have a “can move mountains or die trying” attitude • Ability to work in a highly pressurised environment • Team players • Ability to lead* The Ideal candidate should also possess the following • An accounting qualification of at least a Diploma level (HND for the Accountant role) • Knowledge of Accounting packages such as Pastel evolution and Partner, QuickBooks, SAP Business One, Palladium • Strong working knowledge of all MSOffice packages especially an advanced knowledge of MSOffice Excel and Pastel • At least one years experience in similar environment (two years for the accountant role) • Presentation and report writing skills • Knowledge of the latest costing and financial management methodologies • Knowledge of the latest IFRS and IFRSforSMEs standards* • Working knowledge of pertinent tax legislastion* • Working knowledge of the popular payroll packages and paynet* *these are skills qualifications that those seeking the accountant role will definitely need to have.
