A newish (vegetarian) addition to this forum has asked me to post - TopicsExpress

A newish (vegetarian) addition to this forum has asked me to post this on her behalf. She would appreciate any advice/input, esp from those who were/are in a similar situation (or know of someone who was). She is aware of the abuse and cruelty associated with dairy production and battery hens, but finds herself in a precarious position - an eating disorder that already limits her food intake to a significant degree. Herewith her post verbatim : The more I think about it, the more I realise I actually cannot afford to go as restrictive as vegan. I hardly eat at all anyway. (I have an eating disorder). If I further restrict my diet I will have more excuses not to eat. Im trying to manage as best as I can. ... with some kind of control over what I ingest. Its a difficult journey every single day. I have several safe foods that vary from time to time. For example, sometimes all I will eat is yoghurt. If I take away some of my safe foods then Im left with less to eat. Maybe ask if there are any vegans battling with an eating disorder and how they manage with such a restricted diet. I know my dietician I have to see monthly will not be happy with such a change. She would see at as a ploy to cut down on more food. And if Im honest with myself, maybe it is part of the reason Im considering it I have asked her to follow this thread. If some of you prefer a one on one .. I could relay a request via PM
