A note to my Libertarian Friend: Humana & Anthem have already been caught deceiving their customers about their ‘grandfathered’ policies. Anthem has lawsuit pending right now over its deceptive practices.. tricking their customers into cancelling their existing policies so they could hit ‘em up for higher premium plans. Make no mistake, all these ‘cancellations’ could be avoided IF insurers would ‘play nice’ with the new law..they have had 3-years to comply.. however before the ink dried on the new law they were looking for ways to skirt around it. 25-states (with Republican Governors) elected to opt OUT of setting up their own state exchanges or expanding Medicaid.. because of this decision, A LOT of their citizens wont’ qualify for Medicaid And will make too much to get the subsidy to help with cost of premiums. These Governors’ decision (based soley on obstructing efforts that are ANYTHING DEMOCRAT PRESIDENT) will contribute to the HUGE coverage gap… let alone these jacka$$es SHOULD be prosecuted for Sedition crimes!! Churches and charities do NOT have resources to cover these people!! 14 states in the Bible Belt region AND ONLY 2-of the 14 Bible Belt states AR & KY, elected to set up their own exchanges.. both AR & KY have Democrat Governors.. KY has had successes and no problems with State Exchange website.. no issues signing people up… THANK GOD because KY has some of most sickest and poorest people in the country.. !! ACA law, aka Obamacare is not something you buy.. it’s regulations placed on insurance companies and other stake holders in the health care delivery system who’ve not been and never will, play ‘nice’ with consumers. I don’t like more regulations of the ‘for-profiteers’ I’d like to see them COMPLETELY REMOVED from the core! But for now, that’s what we’ve got.. and A LOT of people will have access to affordable coverage.. and Short term, some of the bleeding is plugged on the out of control spending on health care… long term, as long as for-profiteers are in the core.. we’ll never achieve the best health outcomes, everybody won’t be covered, and spending will still remain high. NO OTHER DEVELPED COUNTRY LEAVES FOR-PROFIT MOTIVE AT THE CORE OF THEIR HEALTH CARE DELIVERY SYSTEM.. ONLY USA FEELS PROFITS SHOULD TRUMP ACTUAL CARE… so best we get now is hopefully some consumer protections we didn’t have before. Insurance companies STILL are exempt from antitrust laws..ACA didn’t change that… Insurance companies STILL monopolize the industry..with 4-5 big players offering health care..STILL no REAL choice. I am absolutely sick and tired of hearing loud mouth excuses coming from the right-wing media whores.. blaming Pres. EXCLUSIVELY when there’s A LOT of blame to share.. especially with the ones who continue to obstruct efforts to implement this law sacrificing up the real human beings who don’t have care. And those who continue to call ACA Law Socialism.. don’t know their ass from a hole in the ground. Can’t have a free market capitalism economy without rules so everyone will play nice.. all this ‘small gov’t’ talk is about removing ALL the rules so only those with all the gold can screw everybody else. Aint’ buying it.. And for crying out loud.. Patriots of 1776 didn’t revolt to keep gov’t small they revolted against Aristocracy who were using gov’t to enrich themselves!!! FEAR, DISCRIMINATION, CORPORATE DOMINATION are the values of modern day ‘conservatism’.. started with the Powell Memorandum in the early ‘70s..Reagan & Greenspan bought in.. and every Administration since has contributed to implementing this doctrine especially the ‘borrow and spend’ Republicans..And those who can’t see that have had their heads up a woman’s uterus farrrr too long.
