A parent asks our group: I have a 10 yo daughter w/ SPD. Apparently she has been having issues for months at functions for an extracurricular group. I was not told about them until today. The supervisor is now wanting to require that a parent attend all functions with her to control her behavior. She keeps referring to liability issues and says shes getting calls from other parents wanting to know if their child is safe if mine is there. She says some kids have approached her about my daughter and that she has spoken to them about my daughter, but wont tell me what she or they have said. Full disclosure: my daughter, mid-meltdown, did tell another child that if they didnt shut up, she would throw her book at their head. Apparently there have been other comments I dont know the details of. Other kids have said things to her, too. I am at a loss. Suggestions?
