A pastor and his wife and two church members just knocked on our door. Rahman and I opened the door, smiling, standing shoulder to shoulder. Pastors wife: We just wanted to spread the wonderful word of Jesus Christ! Do you have a relationship with the lord? Me: Actually we are atheists. But we appreciate your community fellowship and all you do! Pastors wife: Why do you hate the lord? Pastor (under breath): You people! (Why did he say that?) Fast forward 5 minutes and Rahman and I have simultaneously covered everything from the formation of the planets to Santa Claus to sun worship to dying children in Africa and babies getting shot in the street here. They couldnt wait to get off our porch! Two were easing down the steps as we talked. I am positive they will tell the neighbors what just happened.
