A perfect example of democracy; In the first year of Hijrat under the negotiation of prophet Mohammed, the residents of Medina had made a contract among them selves. There were the Jews , the Christians, the Muslim, the Star worshiper in Medina and they often got involved in communal rioting. To Put an end to this communal hatred Hazrat Mohammed himself negotiated this agreement. The democratic ideal of that agreement still remains a wonderful example was that: (1) All the Medina’s will jointly resist any attack from without (2) None of the communities the Jews, the Christian, the Muslim, the Star worshiper will gave shelter or patronize the enemy of any other community. (3) None of these communities of Medina will interfere on the religion and property of the other religious communities.. (4) All discrimination in Medina will be judged by Hazrat Mohammed himself (5) Both the loss or gain in war with the enemy of Medina will be shared equally by all the communities of Medina, (6) All the communities residing in Medina must consider themselves as friends. (7) No killing will be made within Medina and it will be the duty of every one to help the poor, ailing suffers. The agreement prove that Hazrat Mohammed tried to establish a sinless society and peace in society. Every one has the right to enjoy his own religion and property. By taking the responsibility of performing the good works of each other we can make the society more perfect and better.
